The Center for Agricultural and Rural Sustainability (CARS) has a broad responsibility in research, teaching, and extension with respect to different aspects of agricultural and rural sustainability. The projects carried out by the Center faculty are diverse covering all major areas of agricultural production including animal and livestock, rice, forestry and timber, soybeans, specialty crops, local foods, etc. Our work provides the unparalleled support to the agricultural industries and rural communities to build sustainable, “green” agriculture in the State.
